my teaching beliefs and values
I believe:
that each student in my class has the potential to succeed.
that equality is very important in the classroom, and while each student has different learning abilities and talents, it is vital that they are all given similar opportunities and that each one is allowed to grow to the best of his or her ability.
the best classroom is one full of community and diversity, where the students accept and celebrate each other’s differences.
Ultimately, school is about preparing students for their future in the real world.
Therefore, I believe that students should participate in learning experiences that allow them to incorporate their academic learning with social and character development. Students need to learn how to be strong citizens in their communities as well as stewards of their values and beliefs to those around them.
