To encourage parent engagement, I decided to create a classroom instagram account. This is a private account that only my students' parents and school personnel can follow to receive classroom updates and see exciting things happening in the classroom! Parents love being able to follow their child's learning, and students love seeing themselves in the posts!

This account is also a great way to begin teaching digital literacy and responsibility to my students, so they can learn to be positive digital citizens when they begin or use their own personal accounts online.
